Since 1996 I am in charge of tutorial activities and integrative teaching for the chair of Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care Medicine, particularly:

  • Tutorial activities for undergraduate doctors in Medicine, Engineering, Physics
  • Lessons & practice of BLS (Basic Life Support) and ALS (Advanced Life Support) for students in Medicine

Since 2002  I officially teach Pain Therapy, Hyperbaric Medicine, Emergency Semiology (Medical School, Bari) ; Disaster Medicine (Nurse School, Bari), Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (Naval and Civil Nurse Schools in Taranto and Radiology Technicians School in Bari).  Moreover, for the  School in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine I hold lessons about Respiratory Mechanics and Artificial Ventilation for Specialists in training.

An important component of my teaching activity is supervising graduation thesis for future medical doctors. This process is not only a writing exercise on medical topics. The student is involved in a real research project: he is taught to use the scientific and informatic instruments to get the objective of his/her study. Considering that also the best educated students need to become familiar with research topic and technologies,  thesis preparation requires time.  It is our suggestion to plan for the thesis well ahead of the possible date for its discussion.
In fact, we receive a steadly increasing number of applications and not all of them can be satisfied.

To apply for a thesis, please send an e-mail to gaetano.perchiazzi@uniba.it, indicating your
1) Name, 2) Family name, 3) e-mail address for receiving correspondence; 4) a direct phone number and 5) that you want to apply for a thesis in Anesthesia & Intensive Care Medicine.
You will receive a form to fill. After filling it, you should send it back to the same e-mail.

THE NEXT DEADLINE IS JULY, 31th 2013, FOR THESIS TO BE DISCUSSED STARTING FROM APRIL 2014 ONWARDS

On September, 15th the accepted students will get a personal e-mail.
