1. Research Themes
- Fiscal Policy and Fiscal Multipliers: macroeconomic effects of government spending components using SVAR and Panel SVAR models, with evidence from European, OECD, and Italian data.
- Mission-Oriented Innovation Policies and Public R&D: macroeconomic and regional effects of directed public investment in research and development, productivity growth, and the green transition.
- Monetary Economics and Endogenous Money Theory: post-Keynesian endogenous money theory, monetary policy transmission mechanisms, the cost channel, and the distributional effects of interest rate changes.
- Theories of Economic Growth: Kaldor-Verdoorn Law and the supermultiplier model, with a focus on the role of autonomous demand and technical change in long-run growth.
- Regional Economics and Territorial Disparities: regional economic divergence, the Italian North-South divide, and the macroeconomic effects of fiscal and wage policies on territorial inequalities.
- Ecological Economics and the Green Transition: macroeconomic and environmental effects of green public expenditure and climate-oriented fiscal policies.
- Financialisation and Income Distribution: effects of financialisation on profitability, income distribution, and macroeconomic dynamics in advanced economies.
