Research

My research work investigates cognitive and behavioural issues that impact learning and training in dogs, including the development and biological basis of dog brain lateralization and different sensory abilities.

Furthermore, I'm interested in studying the relationships between emotion, cognition and learning with the intent of finding new ways of measuring the affective states of dogs with direct implications for animal welfare and bioethics.
