Curriculum

Prof. Annalisa Rizzo graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pisa, on 18/09/2001. During the period September 2001-November 2002 she attended, as an external collaborator, the Department of Animal Production, University of Bari, participating in the Institute activity and dealing with the different problems of Obstetrics, Neonatology and Obstetric Clinic. In November 2001, she participated in the Competition for the PhD in Biology of Human and Animal Reproduction at the University of Bari, being the winner.

During her Ph.D., she was assigned to perform subsidiary or supplementary teaching activities in "Veterinary Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic" for the undergraduate degree course in Veterinary Medicine, at the University of Bari. During the same period, he obtained the title of cultore di materia in "Veterinary Obstetrics and Neonatology." Prof. Rizzo has systematically carried out lectures as part of the aforementioned courses. He has, in addition, regularly performed clinical activity at the outpatient clinics of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Bari.

During March-August 2003, she attended the Vector Core Facility laboratory, University of Pittsburgh, learning some laboratory techniques, such as: cloning, plasmid extraction, PCR, cell cultures, bacterial cultures, bacterial cell transformations, eukaryotic cell transfections.

From 2005 to 2017, she was a researcher for the disciplinary group VET/10, at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro".

From 2017 to 2019, she was Associate Professor for the disciplinary group VET/10, at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro".

Since 2019 she has been Full Professor for the disciplinary group VET/10, at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro".

Since 2008, she has been a member of the "Internship" Committee of the Department of Veterinary Medicine.

Since 2022, she has been a member of the Technical Committee of the H24 Emergency Room and Inpatient at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Bari "Aldo Moro".

She is coordinator of the Veterinary Mobile Clinic and head of the Veterinary Obstetric Clinic Section.

She is referee of several journals in the field of obstetrics-gynecology, such as: Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology, Research in Veterinary Science, Animals, Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology, PLOS One.

He is the author of about 140 publications on clinical and pathophysiology topics published in international journals.
