  • Main research fields:
  • The research activity is focused on bacterial agents of domestic animals, with particular emphasis on those that have an economic impact on livestock productivity and are responsible for zoonoses. These studies involve bacteria of carnivores (Bartonella spp, hemotropic Mycoplasma, atypical Mycobacterium spp, Brucella) and ruminants (Mycoplasma agalactiae, Chlamydia spp, Coxiella burnetii, C. perfringens). Molecular surveillance of bacterial infections, development of innovative diagnostic assays and vaccines are objectives of this research.
