Teaching Program
- Practical surgical clinical activity: Preoperative evaluation of the surgical patient; Collection of medical history; Basic clinical examination and specialist visit; Compilation of medical records; Discussion on the decision algorithm for the most suitable diagnostic procedures for the clinical case; Formulation of differential diagnoses; Make a diagnosis, discussion of surgical treatment, postoperative care and potential complications in the short, medium and long term; Issue of a prognosis; Compilation of patient discharge sheet, compilation of collateral exam forms; Reading reports (haematological, cytological, histological, diagnostic imaging); Participation in the Illustration of informed consent to surgical and anesthetic procedures to the owner; Compilation of anesthesiological records / execution of some procedures such as venous access and patient intubation; Assisting in surgical procedures / performing certain surgical procedures; Compilation of the operative report; Prescription of drug therapies (if necessary).
