SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
Molecular techniques for detecting and typing of foodborne pathogens. Development and application of emerging nucleic acid-based methods for detection/characterization/typing of food-borne pathogens (e.g. viruses, bacteria, parasites) within foods of animal origin.
Food authentication. Nucleic acid-based methods for species authentication in food of animal origin i) classical DNA-based methods (Real-Time PCR, DNA Barcoding, Sanger Sequencing); ii) advanced DNA-based methods (omics approach, Metabarcoding).
