Research
For over 20 years the research activity has been mainly focused on diagnostic imaging, clinic and surgery of sea turtles.
Currently the lines of research on these animal are focused on:
- repair of severe trauma and the management of injuries to the skull, carapace and limbs;
- study of Gas-Embolism Disease and Drowning Syndrome following accidental trawling;
- specialized imaging diagnostics for the study of the anatomy and pathologies of marine chelonians;
- study of new anesthetic protocols for the improvement of anesthesia maintenance methods and postoperative recovery.
