Research activities
I am a molecular biologist and my expertise lies in the field of mitochondrial gene expression.
Currently, I am investigating the biochemical and clinical features of mitochondrial aa-tRNA synthetases, exploring the therapeuthic use of these enzymes. In particular, the aim is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying the biological activity of rescuing peptides in syndromes associated with mutated mitochondrial tRNAs.
