TMS Software Architect

Purpose of the Job

Specify and design software architecture and deliver software and support the Product Architect in finding the best implementation strategies.

Educational Requirements

Educated to University Degree level in Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Traffic Management Systems provide to railway operators advanced automation and decision support functions  to plan, regulate, automate and optimize the train traffic circulation on complex network. 

These systems are based on special software application, normally running on IT infrastructure/datacenter specially designed for business continuity and mission critical application.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in complex software developments based on Windows Systems;
  • Deep knowledge of software programming language (VB, C/C++, C#, WCF, WPF, MS-SQL);
  • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Hyper-V;
  • Knowledge of IT architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, IP networking, routing and SQL databases.);
  • Strong Ability in problem solving and debugging;
  • Railway and Scada Application is not mandatory but preferable;
  • Work package management is not mandatory but preferable;
  • English language.

TMS Design Engineer

 

Purpose of the Job

  • The TMS Design Engineer is responsible for the TMS subsystem engineering design and deployment in the scope of standalone or platform level projects in Italy and other European countries.

 

Educational Requirements

Educated to University Degree level  in Electronics/Automation Engineering or Information Technology

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Traffic Management Systems provide to railway operators advanced automation and decision support functions  to plan, regulate, automate and optimize the train traffic circulation on complex network. 

These systems are based on special software application, normally running on IT infrastructure/datacenter specially designed for business continuity and mission critical application.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in railway applications;
  • Basic knowledge of Signalling Principle and Rules;
  • Knowledge of Traffic Supervision and Regulation Principle;
  • Basic Information and Communication technology skills;
  • Basic knowledge of software programming language and technology (C#, C/C++, SQL, WPF, .Net);
  • Basic Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Hyper-V;
  • Basic Knowledge of IT architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, IP networking, routing and SQL databases.);
  • SCADA products knowledge;
  • Workpackage management;
  • English language.
