Chemistry Study Course

The Bachelor's Degree Course in Chemistry stems from a past degree course, which up to 2001 consisted in a 5-year course at the Faculty of Science of the University of Bari (UNIBA). Starting from the Academic Year 2010/11, in accordance with the DM (Ministerial Decree) 270, a "Three-year Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry" was established for the degree course  L-27 (Science and Chemical Technologies) and a "Master’s Degree in Chemical Sciences" LM-54, for  the Master's Degree Program. The Department also offers postgraduate studies and has a three-year PhD course in "Chemistry and Molecular Sciences".

The Chemistry degree program has limited enrolment.

Below you will find all the necessary information needed to study Chemistry and Chemical Technologies at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bari.

The study program is divided into three levels:

Three-year Bachelor’s Degree

Master’s Degree

Post Degree education program

The First level degree provides basic knowledge for/and professional preparation.

Two-year course of specialization in three different majors:

  • Complex Systems
  • Synthesis and reactivity
  • Materials and surfaces

 PhD (three year course)

  • Specialization in work and employment issues
