Gonzalo Moreno Warleta

PhD in Marketing by Universidad Complutense de Madrid 2015, Master in Business Administration (MBA) by Instituto de Empresa 2000, and BA in Communications, (Major in Advertising and P.R.) by Unversidad Complutense de Madrid 1995; Gonzalo’s major interest areas are Services and Retailing, IMC and Branding (Retail Brands included), CX and Service Quality; and CRM and Loyalty.

For over 20 years Gonzalo has been professionally devoted to the different areas of Marketing: from Communication and Advertising (@DMB&B Publicis Group, for EFFEM-Mars, Burger King, TWA, Reckitt & Colman, etc.) to general Products and Services Marketing management (product manager at Rothmans tobacco Co., marketing manager at Vincci Hoteles); and from Specialist Consultancy in Sales and Distribution (@Thinksmart, for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Vodafone, Citibank, Pladur - Yesos Ibéricos, Bausch & Lomb, etc.), to C.R.M., Customer Experience and Service Quality (Leroy Merlin España). Since 2014, as a free-lance Marketing Consultant for several SMEs and big multinationals (3M Iberia) Gonzalo has also got first hand experience on the intricacies of pricing strategies.

Starting 1995, Gonzalo has combined these professional activities with an intense Academic activity, publishing and participating in several articles, papers and books; and teaching business courses as a permanent member of the Saint Louis University Faculty. Since 2015 he also holds a position as Associate Professor of Marketing in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

As a part-time and/or visiting factulty member, Gonzalo teaches regularly at Fundación Otega Marañón since 2006 (for University of Minnesota and Southern Methodist University); University of San Diego, since 2016; and also cooperates regularly with other prestigious institutions, such as Universidad San Jorge (Master level Faculty, since 2014), Centro Universitario Villanueva (2013) and, of course, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2013).
