In 2020 the PhD students will attended the teaching activities planned in the program “Percorso formativo in Comunicazione e Promozione della Ricerca – percorso formativo per dottorandi “ – organized by the  U.O. DOTTORATO DI RICERCA of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. Information on the program is available clicking here

The program encompasses activities/courses of scientific English and Italian, informatics and promotion of research and intellectual property. The program (PDF) provides 12 CFU. 

- Methods and figures for thinking. Models and schemes in research. The scientific method and its communication. Science and specialized information in mass media. Scientific representation: science, figures, arts.

- Theories and techniques  for scientific and cultural story telling. Critical and schematic elements in the news. Fake news and fact checking. Specific languages. Workshops in writing: how to describe a specialized research.

- Workshop for web design. I. How to write for the web. Social media (for academy and others), blog, sites and non professional apps (wordpress etc.).

- Workshop for web design. II. Seo, webdoc,  profiling, data journalism, docuweb.

- Organization of cultural events. Scouting for grants, networking, bureaucracy, assessment of satisfaction and interest.

- Workshop of Academic English. American English or British English? Tyoes, emails, letters to editors, press releases abstracts. How to write a research article. How to plan a presentation and a meeting.

- Author copyright and industrial property. With workshop on protection of copyright and privacy.

- Information retrieval. Workshops on databases, digitial resources, repositories and open access.

- Workshop for management of performance. Bibliometrics and evalution of the research in the university.

- Promotion of research. Grant programs and instruments at the European, national and local level. Workshop for research projecting and scientific-cultural plans. Environment and sustainable research.
