| L'influenza aviare è una malattia trasmessa da un virus a RNA che vede coinvolti gli uccelli domestici e selvatici ma che può essere trasmessa anche all'uomo. La comparsa di nuovi sottotipi nel panorama dei virus influenzali aviari, e le caratteristiche epidemiologiche che essi hanno assunto, hanno portato a ripensare il ruolo della fauna selvatica nella diffusione di questa malattia. In questa tesi oltre alla malattia, sono brevemente analizzate le caratteristiche etologiche degli animali selvatici, responsabili della diffusione e del mantenimento del virus nell'ambiente. Verranno discusse le caratteristiche dell'infezione, alla luce delle sempre più frequenti relazioni dirette tra focolai di malattia nel domestico e mortalità nell'avifauna selvatica. |

Avian influenza is a disease transmitted by an RNA virus, that effects domestic and wild birds, but can be trasmitted to human. The appearance on the scenery of new subtypes of the avian influenza viruses, and the epidemiologic characteristics that those viruses assumed, lead us to think again about the role of the wild fauna in the ethological characteristics of the wild animals responsible of the spread and the subsistence of the virus in the ambient, an discussed the infection’ s characteristics under the light of even more frequent direct relations between outbreaks of illness in the domestic ambient and mortality in the wild birds. |
