| Caprine alphaherpesvirus 1 (CpHV-1) è un tipico α-herpesvirus che colpisce i caprini determinando un’nfezione sistemica ad esito spesso letale nei capretti di 1-2 settimane e un’infezione ad andamento subclinco negli animali adulti. L’nfezione da CpHV-1 per la sua similarietà con l’infezione da Human herpesvirus -2 risulta un valido modello di studio per lo sviluppo di molecole da utilizzare nelle terapie antivirali da poter traslare sulle infezioni erpetiche umane. Nella tesi è stata valutata l’efficacia antivirale di due inibitori (LDC4297 e LDC3140) della CDK7 nei confronti dell’nfezione da CpHV-1 in vitro, al fine di offrire un modello di studio animale e di contribuire alla conoscenza dello spettro d’azione di questi due nuovi composti. |

Caprine alphaherpesvirus 1 (CPHV-1) is a typical α-herpesvirus that affects goats causing a systemic often lethal infection in 1-2 weeks kids and subclinical infections in adult animals.Due to similarities shared with Human herpesvirus -2 infection, CpHV-1 infection could be a suitable animal model for the development of new and innovative molecules to be used for antiviral therapies for human herpetic infections. In this thesis, the antiviral efficacy of two inhibitors (LDC4297 and LDC3140) of CDK7 against infection by (CpHV-1), has been evaluated in vitro in order to provide an animal model study and to contribute to the knowledge of the broad range of action of these two new molecules. |
