Mobile Veterinary Clinic

The Mobile Veterinary Clinic (teaching activity in the field) represents a professional service offered by the staff of the Department of Veterinary Medicine (DiMeV) to professional veterinary surgeons working in the zootechnical field. The activities of the Mobile Clinic are organized and coordinated by Annalisa Rizzo, professor of the Obstetrics Clinic section who personally coordinates the interventions ion collaboration with the technical staff, PhD students, Ph Doctors and external veterinary professionals. The mobile veterinary clinic was born as a teaching laboratory, to implement continuous training cativities for veterinary medicine students who are constantly involved in all clinical-surgical activities. To implement interventions in the field, the Mobile Clinic makes use of an Opel Vivaro van, for the transport of authorized personnel, students and equipment (Echo-Color-Doppler, surgical instruments, drugs, anesthetics), to deal with clinical and surgical interventions that may be needed in cattle, buffalo, sheep and goats, and pig farms in the regional area. The Veterinary Mobile Clinic does not charge any cost to external vets or farmers.
