12th International Conference & summer school in "Economics of Global Interactions: New Perspectives on Trade, Factor Mobility and Development" (5-6 September 2022)

The University of Bari Aldo Moro is hosting the 12th edition of the conference on the “Economics of Global Interactions” on 5-6 September 2022 . The conference is co-organized with the Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality, and Rationality (FAIR) at NHH Norwegian School of Economics (Bergen, Norway) and Master E.G.E.I. (www.master-egei.eu).
The event will be part of the summer school in “Economics of Global Interactions” which will involve 25 students (5-7 September 2022). [Participants in the EGI Summer School will obtain 4 ECTS]
We plan to have a physical conference although restrictions might still apply due to the Covid pandemic.
The event will provide scholars with the opportunity to discuss their recent contributions in the following areas:
- Theoretical and empirical aspects of international trade;
- Determinants and effects of international migration;
- FDI and Global Value Chains;
- Institutions and economic development;
- Experimental methods and development;
- Industrial policy in developing countries;
- (special session) Time Use analysis: an international perspective
Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome. A discussant will be assigned to each paper presented at the conference. We plan to have a physical conference. The final decision on the organization of the event will depend on the evolution of the Covid pandemic.
