2021    Wilhelm Exner Medal 2021 awarded for her pioneering contributions in the field of organic bioelectronics. The medal has been awarded since 1921 by the Austrian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to celebrate excellence in research and science and is conferred in the presence of the Minister for Technological Innovation Leonore Gewessler under the aegis of the Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen. The motivation is the following: Prof. Torsi's research crosswise combines electronic and electrochemical sensors, analytical chemistry, organic semiconductors, physics of solid-state devices, chemistry of materials and physics. Being at the forefront of one of the fastest growing research directions in organic electronics, her discoveries promise new technologies for healthcare and human well-being.
