Valeria Stabile is a tenure-track researcher at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, working in the field of Spanish language, linguistics, and translation. She holds a joint PhD from the University of Bologna and Utrecht University, with a dissertation on Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Bologna within the PRIN project “Getting Ready for the Present”. Her research lies at the intersection of Latin American literatures, gender studies, queer theory, ecocriticism, philosophy of language, and decolonial studies. She is the author of a monograph and several articles and book chapters published in international journals and edited volumes. She has extensive teaching experience in Spanish American literature, Spanish language, and Spanish culture, and has received research awards including the “Angela Ferrara” Award for the best PhD thesis in Gender Studies and an Honourable Mention for the Sylvia Molloy Award of the Latin American Studies Association.
