Since 2024 a Council Member of the International Confucian Association, he served as President of the 25th World Congress of Philosophy (Rome 2024) and as Chair of the Executive Committee at the 24th World Congress of Philosophy (Beijing 2018).
Editorial director of the international journals Diogenes (Sage / Cambridge UP) and, with Maurice Aymard, Diogène (Presses universitaires de France) from 2005 to 2024. Member of the Editorial Boards of many scholarly journals worldwide.
In 2024, he received the David Gold Medal from the Armenian Philosophical Academy.
