Ernesto Picardi works in the field of Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics and Molecular Evolution. His research activity focuses on bioinformatics and computational approaches to investigate post-transcriptional molecular phenomena, such as alternative splicing and RNA editing, using high-throughput sequencing technologies. He currently develops new bioinformatics methodologies and specialised databases to investigate transcriptome dynamics in eukaryotic genomes.
