CV

Mario Intini is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (RTDB) of Applied Economics at the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law, University of Bari Aldo Moro (2023- ). In 2023 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification for Full Professor in Applied Economics (in 2023 as Associate Professor in Political Economy and in 2021 as Associate Professor in Applied Economics). His research interests relate to Industrial Organization, Energy, Tourism, Territorial Sustainability and Transport Economics. 

He is an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, University of Warwick, UK (2019-2025). He is a professor of Industrial Economics -at the undergraduate level- (from 2019), Competitive Analysis -at the postgraduate level- (2019-2021), and Applied Economics and Economics of market and regulation (from 2023) at the University of Bari Aldo Moro. 

He was Assistant Professor (RTDA) of Applied Economics at the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law, University of Bari Aldo Moro (2020-2023). He was a postdoctoral research fellow in Applied Economics at the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law (2019-2020). He was also a Temporary Researcher at GREEN (Center for Geography, Resources, Environment, Energy and Networks), Università Bocconi (2018).

Furthermore, he was an MIT Visiting Assistant Professor - SUL & CRE centers - (2023; 2024), and he was Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, Toulouse School of Economics (2023; 2024), Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Applied Economics, Autonomous University of Barcelona (2023), Visiting Research Fellow at the CAGE- Department of Economics-, University of Warwick, UK (2022),  Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Economics, University of Warwick, UK (2019) and Visiting Research Scholar at the Department of Applied Economics, Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain (2016-2017).

He was awarded the "Best SIET Doctoral Thesis Award" for the best Ph.D. Thesis among young transport economists in 2020 and the "SIET Best Paper Award" for the Best Young Transport Economics Paper by the Italian Association of Transport Economics (SIET) in 2019. He was awarded the "Cassini Senior Prize" for young researchers, funded by the French Embassy in Italy in 2020. He is involved in several EU funded projects related to Territorial Sustainability and Transport.
