- Full Professor of Infectious Diseases of Domestic Animals at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bari

 

Professional qualifications:

- De-facto Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Microbiology (2016)

PhD degree at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Utrecht, The Netherlands (2009).

- Doctorate fellowship in “Infectious diseases of carnivores” (2004).

 

Academic assignments:

- Member of the Board of Governors, University of Bari (since 2026)

- Member of the Academic Senate, University of Bari (2022-2025)

- Director of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bari (2021-2025).

- Coordinator of the PhD course “Animal Health and Zoonoses” (2017-2021)

- Vice Director and Research Delegate of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Bari (2015-2021).

 

Teaching activities:

- Infectious diseases of companion animals and horses, Veterinary Medicine degree course (since 2025)

- Viral Diseases of Domestic Animals, Veterinary Medicine degree course (2012-2025).

- Infectious diseases of domestic carnivores, Post-graduate School of Infectious Diseases of Animals.
