I am Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Staff Clinician, and Coordinator of the Psychiatric Neuroscience Group at the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Neurosciences and Sense Organs, Aldo Moro University, Bari, Italy. I am Board Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience in Neuroimaging and Imaging Genetics as well as in diagnosis and treatment of Psychiatric Disorders. My research has focused on brain correlates of psychiatric disorders, especially schizophrenia, and on the association of genetic variation with molecular, brain imaging and behavioral phenotypes crucially linked with schizophrenia as well as with response to psychopharmacological treatment. As Coordinator of the Psychiatric Neuroscience Group, I direct research lines of the lab, supervise the collection and the analysis of large multimodal datasets, I am involved in the interpretation of findings and in drafting scientific manuscripts. Furthermore, I am involved in clinical care of patients with psychiatric disorders at the Psychiatric Unit of the Policlinico Hospital.
