Attività di Ricerca

I am Professor of Psychiatry at the Department of Precision and Regenerative Medicine and Ionian Area and Chair of the School of Psychiatry at the Department of Translational Biomedicine and Neuroscience, Aldo Moro University, Bari, Italy. I am also Board Certified Psychiatrist and Staff Clinician at the Psychiatric Unit at the University Hospital "Policlinico", Bari. I have extensive experience in Neuroimaging and Imaging Genetics as well as in diagnosis and treatment of Psychiatric Disorders.

Research projects of my Lab are focused on brain correlates of psychiatric disorders, especially schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and on the association of genetic variation with molecular, brain imaging and behavioral phenotypes crucially linked with major psychiatric disorders, as well as with response to psychopharmacological treatment.
