Registration / matriculation procedure

The Guide contains information concerning online registration procedures.
Due to frequent updates of the procedure some screens may differ significantly from those actually available.
Registration on the study programmes provided at our University is to be done exclusively online by using the dedicated Esse3 - System. 

Steps to follow:

  1. registration on the Esse3 portal (to obtain a username and password)
  2. registration procedure
  3. MAV (banker’s order) payment

Remember that if you intend to declare your financial data to benefit from the reduced fees you must be in possession of an I.S.E.E. (indicator of equivalent economic status) declaration which is issued by a CAF (income tax assistance office). Italian version

    

1. Registration on the Esse3 portal

The Esse3 portal is accessible from any computer connected to the Internet at the following address https://www.studenti.ict.uniba.it/esse3/. 

You need to register on the portal in order to obtain login details (username and password) that will allow you to access the online services.

This procedure is designed to guide you in compiling the necessary data. However, the basic steps are outlined below:

 

1. Registration on Esse3 portal

The Esse3 portal is accessible from any computer connected to the Internet at the following address https://www.studenti.ict.uniba.it/esse3/Italian version
You need to register on the portal in order to obtain login details (username and password) that will allow you to access the online services.

This procedure is designed to guide you in compiling the necessary data. However, the basic steps are outlined below:

Once you are logged onto the  Esse3 portal a navigation menu will appear on the left: click on "Registrazione".

You will be guided through the registration process and 'recognised' as long as you supply all your personal data (address, social security number, etc).

 

Please note: it is essential to enter your e-mail address.

Once the process is complete you will receive both your login details (username and password) and a short feedback report (sent by email).

At this point you can proceed with the registration by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page or via the menu on the left: "Segreteria > Immatricolazione".

 

2. Registration procedure

 This procedure is ‘guided’ too. The following are the most important screenshots:

The first page gives a summary of the steps necessary for registration.

This procedure is complete once you have completed the last phase, i.e. produced the MAV (banker’s order) form for payment of the registration fee.
Before this stage, you are free to change the data and option selections.

For the "Tipologia di ingresso" you have to choose between:

- "Accesso libero": for all degree programs for which there is no admission test.
- "Corsi ad esaurimento posti": f for all study programmes where places are won through public competition.

This screenshot allows you to make a choice between the types of study programmes scheduled for the current academic year.

After choosing the study option, the system will show you a list of the study programmes you can enrol on.

If the study programme chosen provides a ‘specialisation’ (Indirizzi) option, the Esse3 system will allow for this additional choice.

In order to register you must state your relevant educational qualifications:  for enrolment on a three-year (first cycle) degree programme you must have a high school diploma, while for the two-year (second cycle) specialist programmes you must have completed at least a three-year degree programme.

Via the screenshot entitled ‘Ricerca dell'Istituto superiore’ you are required to provide details of your diploma and the school at which it was obtained.

The screenshot shown here is used to confirm the choices already made and provide additional data such as:


  • first year of enrolment in the university system. If you are at the initial registration stage, this space should be left blank.

(When stating disability and/or employment status read carefully the options given on the screen).

Next: general summary and printing of paperwork.

Here, you must state your ISEE status.

Fill in the data relating to self-certification carefully, as once such data have been posted they cannot be further edited.

The procedure is now complete.

You can now download/print the MAV form needed for paying the first instalment at any bank.

PLEASE NOTE: the  I.S.E.E. has to be communicated both when registering and electronically via a recognised university CAF office.

Students can visit a recognised CAF bandiera italiana.jpg office until 31 January (if they have not already done so when registering) for purposes of electronically communicating their ISEE.

The second instalment will be calculated on the basis of the ISEE data entered by the student and the calculation made at the CAF office.

If no ISEE application is made, then the second instalment will be calculated at the highest fee/contribution rates.

  

Payment and delivery of documents

 

Once you have filled them in, print the request form and pay the MAV (first instalment and ADiSU regional fee).

The registration form and other documents (attached) must be handed in to the student secreteriat of the relevant Department.

List of attachments:

  • Photocopy of a valid ID document (identity card or passport) and tax code number.
  • Two identical photographs (passport size), one of which should bear stamp-duty authentication.
  • Certification of having undergone test screening for tuberculosis through the introdermal test (Mantoux), performed at a public facility (only for students registered on degree programmes at the School of Medicine).
  • For students from developing countries in conditions of economic hardship, please attach documentation as issued by the Italian diplomatic authorities nearest to where you live.
  • Students with disabilities should attach a certificate issued in accordance with the law, acknowledging their disabled status and also the degree (in %) of their disability.
  • Self-certification of the student's qualifications.
