Learning Italian

The University of Bari, in collaboration with the Dante Alighieri Society, organizes Italian language courses given by highly-qualified teachers.

GOAL:

to enable students to get a basic grasp of the Italian language, so that they can follow university classes and take exams more easily.

DESIGNED  FOR:

foreign students enrolled in degree programs, Socrates Erasmus students and those wishing to attend summer courses and international Italian language/culture courses.                                     

STRUCTURE OF COURSES:


broken up over two semesters and into 2 levels (level I - basic Level II – intermediate), admission can be gained by doing a pre-test assessing the students' initial language skills. The courses are divided into 6 classes of up to 20 students each, and a total of 120 students per semester.                                                                                                   

DURATION:

60 hours (over about one month) held in the Language Laboratory classrooms at the the Faculty of Languages, usually in the late afternoon from 6-8 pm.

COST:

completely free.


CREDITS:

no issue of CFU (University credits) will occur.


PLIDA  CERTIFICATION :

students may apply to take this exam in order to obtain a PLIDA certification of their Italian language skills.
