Quality Assurance
DiMeV adopts a Quality Assurance (QA) system designed to promote and ensure the implementation of policies aimed at continuously improving teaching, research and third mission activities, in line with the Strategic Plan and the guidelines issued by the University’s Quality Assurance Board (PQA).
QA is based on structured processes for planning, management, monitoring and self-assessment, aimed at consolidating the quality of educational provision, strengthening research output, and developing knowledge transfer and engagement with the local community.
DiMeV operates in accordance with ANVUR criteria for the accreditation and evaluation of the university system, ensuring alignment with national and international standards for the quality of education and research in veterinary medicine, consistent with ENQA requirements for EAEVE accreditation.
Responsibility for departmental QA processes rests with the Department Council, the QA Delegate appointed by the Head of Department, the QA Committee approved by the Department Council, the Joint Teaching Staff–Student Committee (CPDS), the Quality Assurance Groups (GAQ) and Review Groups (GdR) of the degree programmes, and the QA Groups of the doctoral programmes.
The QA Committee works closely with all departmental bodies, particularly the CPDS, the Research and Third Mission Evaluation Committee (CVR-TM), the QA Groups of the doctoral programmes, all Delegates of the Head of Department, and the PQA. It coordinates indicator monitoring, data collection and support for self-assessment and improvement processes associated with the Department’s Strategic and Integrated Planning Documents.
The QA Committee also contributes to developing and updating internal QA procedures and promotes a culture of quality within the academic community.
