Department Governance

The Department Executive Board supports the Head of the Department in the performance of their duties and operates within the scope of the powers delegated to it by the Department Council. In particular, it assists the Head of the Department in the governance and management of the Department and exercises the functions delegated to it by the Department Council, in accordance with the general principles set out in the University's General Regulations.

The Joint Committee of Students and Academic Staff contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality of teaching and student services by carrying out monitoring and advisory activities within the Department's quality assurance system. In particular, it reviews the Department's educational provision, teaching delivery, and the quality of services provided to students, issuing opinions and recommendations aimed at promoting their continuous enhancement. The Committee also provides opinions on the establishment, activation, revision, and discontinuation of degree programmes, as well as on the revision of academic regulations and programme regulations, in accordance with the University's Statute and Regulations.
