Uniba Risponde is a digital information support service based on generative artificial intelligence systems.

Users are informed that they are interacting with an automated system and not with a natural person.

The service uses Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate text-based responses exclusively grounded on publicly available content from the institutional domain www.uniba.it through content grounding techniques.

The virtual assistant is intended solely for informational and guidance purposes related to the consultation of services and institutional content of the University of Bari Aldo Moro.

The system does not adopt automated decision-making processes nor does it produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on users pursuant to Article 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Responses automatically generated by the system may contain inaccuracies, errors, omissions, or outdated information.

The information provided by the virtual assistant does not constitute official University communications, administrative acts, certifications, opinions, or legally binding measures.

For complex queries, specific requests, or situations requiring official assessments, users are invited to contact the relevant University offices and verify the information through consultation of the institutional webpages available at www.uniba.it.

The operation of the service is subject to human oversight by the competent University structures.

Users undertake to use the service in compliance with applicable laws and not to enter:

  • special categories of personal data pursuant to Article 9 GDPR;
  • confidential information or unnecessary personal data relating to third parties;
  • unlawful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content.

It is prohibited to use the virtual assistant for unlawful purposes or to attempt to alter or interfere with its functioning.

The University reserves the right to update, suspend, or discontinue the service, including temporarily, for technical, organizational, or regulatory reasons.
