University library and labs
Laboratories
All the Departments involved in the Interuniversity Ph.D. in Sustainable Land Management are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, in addition to the basic ones, articulated on different technological platforms. The Di.S.S.P.A. has an experimental field in Valenzano (BA) with facilities and installations and the DESERT platform for wastewater reuse. DICATECh has 17 laboratories, some of which are large, such as the Coastal Engineering Laboratory. Di.S.S.P.A. was also the winner of an excellence project in 2023 for the modernisation of the research laboratories.

The laboratories of the Di.S.S.P.A. -UNIBA are equipped with HW/SW equipment available to Ph.D. students such as DesignBuilder for EnergyPlus and MATLAB with SIMULINK for energy simulation; 5 GaBi 8 for LCA. Numerous licences are available at POLIBA, e.g. ANSYS, SYSWELD, MiniTab17, Featurecam, Geomagic, Photomodeler, Agisoft photoscan, PowerMill, Mach3, Unity 5 Pro, MATLAB, COMSOL Multiphysics, CADENCE, OptiBPM, Optisystem, FIMMWAVE, L-edit; RSoft; Labview, C/C++.
Experimental companies
Di.S.S.P.A. can also count on four didactic-experimental farms (in Policoro, Valenzano, Monopoli and Mola di Bari) to which the innovations developed by the laboratory can be transferred to the open field or protected crop. In addition, Di.S.S.P.A. is the winner of a project of excellence in 2023 that envisages the reconfiguration and further modernisation of laboratories and research facilities. The two universities offer access to a library system with an extensive collection of monographs and journals, both print and electronic.
