Call for applications for the PhD in Physics, academic year 2025-26 (XLI cycle)

The Italian Doctorate of Research (PhD) is the highest academic degree awarded by universities in a wide range of disciplines. This prestigious program is open to candidates holding a master's degree or equivalent from an international institution. Doctoral programs are designed to develop students' ability to conduct advanced scientific research and refine their research methodologies. The degree is awarded after three years of intensive study, completion of required research activities, and the successful defense of a final thesis.

DETAILS FOR THE ORAL EXAM

IN-PERSON

  • The oral exam for the Ph.D. program in Physics for the 41st cycle will be held in person starting July 31, 2025, at 9:30 (Rome, CEST) at the Department of Physics, Room A, University Campus, Via Orabona 4, Bari, Italy.
  • Candidates will be examined in alphabetical order.
  • All candidates are required to arrive at 9:30 (Rome, CEST) for identification with an identity document.

BY CONNECTION

  • Candidates who will take the oral exam remotely will connect (ZOOM platform) on August 1, 2025, at 14:30 (Rome CEST).
  • Candidates who requested the interview remotely will be examined in alphabetical order.
  • Candidates are required to connect online (on the ZOOM platform) at 14:30 (Rome CEST) for identification with an identity document.
