Digital health is a rapidly growing field that focuses on the use of digital technology to improve people's health and well-being. As evidence of this, digital innovation and technological development in the health field are considered strategic objectives of the PNRR, focused on meeting current needs, anticipating future needs and generating an innovation dynamic that overcomes the limits of traditional linear methods knowledge-development-technological application.
The demand for research in the field of Digital Innovation and e-Health and the consequent need to train researchers in numbers adequate to the needs of public and private research institutions is the rationale behind this PhD.
The PhD in “Digital Innovation and e-Health” aims to develop an in-depth understanding of digital technologies used in healthcare and to explore how these technologies can be used to improve people's health and well-being. The course includes, through the exchange of knowledge and technology, the strengthening, integration and development of new skills in line with the needs of society, facilitating the valorization and dissemination of results outside the academy, and creating solid job prospects for the professionals trained. In terms of skills already existing on site, the presence of many members of the College in the CITEL (Interdepartmental Center for Telemedicine) guarantees both access to funds for telemedicine projects already funded and the further possibility of organizing third mission initiatives.
