Training profile

The Specialization School in Orthopaedics and Traumatology trains medical specialists with advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital, degenerative, traumatic and neoplastic disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

The training programme integrates theoretical, clinical, professional and research activities in trauma surgery, joint replacement surgery, spinal surgery, sports medicine and reconstructive techniques of the musculoskeletal system.

Access and admission

Admission is through the national competition for Medical Area Specialization Schools reserved for medical graduates, published annually by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
