Training profile

The Specialization School in Obstetrics and Gynaecology trains medical specialists with advanced expertise in the physiology and pathology of female reproduction, gynaecological oncology, endocrinology, surgery, and the management of pregnancy and childbirth.

The training programme integrates theoretical, clinical, professional and research activities carried out within the accredited training network and services dedicated to women's health.

  • Management of normal and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Management of labour, childbirth and the postpartum period.
  • Conventional and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.

Access and admission

Admission is through the national competition for Medical Area Specialization Schools reserved for medical graduates, published annually by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
