Internship

The internship (10 ECTS) is mandatory. It can be carried out in:

• companies with specific internship agreements on the platform PortiamoValore,
• national or international research centers;
• University labs.

Achievements are verified through attendance certificates and reports on the activity performed.

For students enrolled until the a.y. 2023/2024, the internship application must be submitted together with the thesis application at least 6 months before the expected graduation session and at least 15 days before the starting day of the internship using the appropriate online form available here https://www.uniba.it/it/corsi/magistrale-physics/studiare/modulistica/modulistica-valida-dal-2023. To be eligible students must have acquired at least 60 ECTS.

For students enrolled in the a.y. 2024/2025, the internship application must be submitted at least 3 months before the expected graduation session and at least 20 days before the starting day of the internship using the appropriate online form available here https://www.uniba.it/it/corsi/magistrale-physics/studiare/modulistica/modulistica-valida-dal-2023. To be eligible for applying to the internship, the student must have acquired at least 40 ECTS.

Students could also apply for Summer student positions at international research centers (i.e., CERN, DESY-Amburgo, SLAC-Stanford) as internship abroad.
