The program
The MSc in Physics is a 2 year, state-of-the-art program that provides students with a solid basis for entering the professional life. The program combines a consolidated knowledge in fundamental theoretical and experimental physics, with advanced technologies used in the sphere of environmental and health sensors, thus providing students with the capabilities to respond to the challenges that arise from future developments in this field.
We offer:
- a broad selection of innovative courses, covering all major aspects of modern physics,
- research opportunities and internships in national and international research centers and companies.
Focusing on the student’s needs and freedom of choice the MSc encourages breadth, but also enables students to specialize further, if they choose to do so. The ReCaS data center also provides an environment for high-performance and scientific computing.
The program is divided into 3 curriculum:
- Theoretical Physics and Complex Systems
- Particle, Astroparticle Physics and Advanced Technologies
- Condensed Matter Physics and Photonics
Common to the 3 curriculum are the:
- Internship (10 ECTS)
- Final dissertation (32 ECTS) that is carried out during the 2nd semester of the 2nd year
- Electives (12 ECTS) that can be chosen also from a list provided by the Department.
