Program factsheet

The main objectives of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing program, with the distinctive "core" of each year of the three-year program, can be described as follows: • First year: acquisition of fundamental knowledge of biology, anatomy, physiology, statistics, computer science, and the basics of nursing, with an introduction to the clinical internship. • Second year: in-depth study of clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills, including pathology, pharmacology, hygiene, clinical medicine, and applied nursing. The internship increases the educational burden and students are exposed to the first complex clinical cases. • Third year: Specialty areas (maternal and child care, specialized surgery, disability, emergency care) and the development of professional, ethical, and legal skills as nurses. The program concludes with an advanced internship and preparation for the final exam, to develop independent and competent professionals in a variety of healthcare settings.
