NURSING AND MIDWIFERY SCIENCES
The Degree Course in ' Nursing and Midwifery Sciences ' lasts two years, each of which aims to achieve specific educational objectives. 1st year aimed at providing the conceptual and methodological models of the 5 areas of competence of the graduate master's degree: Research area: methods of medical statistics, critical analysis of the literature, research methodology and evidence-based health practice. Training area: theoretical models of social psychology, developmental and educational psychology, elements of business management. Economic area of health management: principles and methods of health economics and planning; Legal area of health management: in-depth studies of administrative law and public law in the areas of care competence First aid area: organization of first emergency services and related liability. Internship activity at accredited services aimed at building a project work in the field of research and management 13/06/2023 healthcare. 2nd year aimed at applying and contextualizing the theoretical models and methodologies learned in the 5 areas of competence of the graduate and with specific reference to future work contexts: Prevention area: analysis of community health problems; identification of physical, psychological and social needs; diagnosis of the help needs of people of different ages, cultures and health conditions in various social areas, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge. Service medicine area: nursing and obstetric processes for the design of innovative models for understanding the state of need of the citizen and for the formulation of the related objectives, with a strong impact on the quality of care and on the responses of health and social care services. Biomedical sciences area: fundamentals of pathophysiology applicable to different clinical conditions also in relation to diagnostic parameters; Surgical sciences area: identification of specific problems in the clinical, organizational fields; involvement of care professionals and their coordinators in decision-making processes that influence their practice; definition of a systematic plan for continuous improvement of quality and definition of the standard and shared indicators for the evaluation of the care provided; Area of health management and the profession: strategies for the direction and management of professional and health services based on criteria of efficiency and effectiveness, human resources management, design of organizational integration tools and evaluation of the quality of services. Internship activities in accredited services aimed at acquiring skills in the organization and management of healthcare (Nursing and Midwifery Departments, Training Services, Quality Offices, Clinical Risk).
