Medicine and Surgery - Bari
The admission test has been abolished: enrolment in the first semester of the degree programmes is open, in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 71/2025 and Ministerial Decrees No. 418 of 30 May 2025 and No. 431 of 20 June 2025. Admission to the second semester will be subject to a selection process based on a “filter semester”.
The single-cycle Master’s Degree Programme in Medicine and Surgery (LM-41) comprises a total of 360 ECTS credits over six years, including at least 60 ECTS credits in basic disciplines.
At the University of Bari, the programme is organised into 12 semesters and 36 integrated courses. Each course is assigned a specific number of ECTS credits by the competent teaching body, in compliance with the requirements set out in the table of compulsory educational activities. Each ECTS credit corresponds to 25 hours of student workload, normally including no more than 10 hours of lectures or, alternatively, 20 hours of supervised study within the teaching facilities.
Each ECTS credit relating to professional training corresponds to 25 hours of student workload, including 20 hours of practical and professional training activities carried out under the supervision of teaching staff in small groups, within the teaching facilities and in local healthcare settings, and 5 hours of individual review and consolidation of the activities undertaken.
