Professional skills are acquired through a comprehensive training programme that includes both theoretical and practical components. The theoretical component includes 22 credits in basic subjects, 30 credits in subjects related to the specific professional profile of healthcare assistants, 14 credits linked to specific subject areas and 30 credits chosen independently by the institution. The practical part includes the acquisition of practical and behavioural skills for immediate use in the workplace. In this context, clinical training is particularly important, with at least 60 CFU under the supervision and guidance of specially assigned professional tutors and coordinated by a lecturer from the specific disciplinary sector (MED/50).
