The course of study Earth System and Global Changes, entirely taught in English language, is addressed to move toward an international context, aimed at expanding the knowledge and expertise of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in the Mediterranean Basin, and beyond. It will offer the opportunity to work as junior geologist, technical assistant in geology or in geophysics, and to carry out detailed geological mapping within the framework of national and international projects of geological mapping. The course will include, among the others, lectures on the sustainable use of geo-resources and geo-materials, and the evaluation of the risks related to different geological hazards and the climate changes, with the final goal to promote actions to increase the resilience of the local communities.
