BIOSANITARY SCIENCES

The Master's Degree Course in Biohealth Sciences is aimed at graduates who have acquired a good basic preparation in biological disciplines during their bachelor's degree. It aims to provide in-depth skills in the biohealth field, both in diagnostics and in the biology of nutrition. It is organized into two curricula, biohealth and nutrition, which differ in specific training objectives. The diagnostic curriculum offers advanced knowledge on the biological processes of physio-pathology and on the investigation methodologies used in the biomedical field as well as on biological-health controls for preventive purposes. The nutritional curriculum provides advanced knowledge about the composition, energy intake and nutritional quality of foods, their modifications during production processes and due to contaminants, the biochemical, metabolic and physiological mechanisms of digestion and food-related diseases.
