BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES

The Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences (L13) is designed to enable students to gradually and step-by-step acquire the theoretical and operational tools for understanding biological phenomena. During the first year, most credits will be assigned to scientific-disciplinary areas of mathematics, statistics, chemistry, and physics, knowledge of which is preparatory to the acquisition of strictly biological skills. These will include the study of microorganisms and plant and animal organisms, including humans, with an interdisciplinary approach spanning morphology, physiology, biochemistry, biomolecular sciences, genetics, evolutionary sciences, and ecology and environmental sciences. The program aims to provide new graduates with a solid foundation for further studies. It will also provide the preparation and tools necessary to enable students to assimilate scientific and technological advances and to address and delve deeper into issues related to the Life Sciences.
