ANIMAL SCIENCE

The Degree Course in Animal Sciences is a three-year course, with unscheduled access and compulsory attendance, which includes cycles of theoretical semester lessons to be held in the classroom and practical activities to be carried out at the laboratories and facilities of the Veterinary Medicine Campus and at livestock farms, farms, agri-food industries, wildlife farms, public bodies, veterinary analysis laboratories, veterinary clinics. To obtain the qualification, a practical internship is also required to be carried out at the teaching facilities of the Campus or at public and/or private affiliated facilities. The course aims to prepare professionals able to work in agro-zootechnical farms, in farms and clinical facilities of companion and working animals and in wildlife farms, with the aim of recovering wildlife. Finally, the course aims to train veterinary laboratory technicians able to operate in the field of diagnosis and prophylaxis of infectious diseases and control of animal feed and products of animal origin.
