The University Language Centre (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo – CLA) was formally established on 1 June 2000, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the 1994–1999 Operational Programme “Scientific Research, Technological Development and Higher Education”, Measure 1.2 “Infrastructure for Higher Education”.
The University Language Centre is a member of the Italian Association of University Language Centres (AICLU).
The CLA is an authorized examination centre for internationally recognized language certifications aligned with levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Certification Bodies:
- Cambridge University Press & Assessment
- Instituto Cervantes (DELE – Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera).
The CLA serves exclusively as a testing centre for language certifications. Therefore, the award of any university credits (CFU) based on these certifications is determined solely by the student's specific degree programme.
Language proficiency assessments completed as part of the University's various degree programmes cannot be certified by the University Language Centre.
