RESEARCH INTERESTS

His main research activity is in data science (machine learning, data mining and big data analytics), and its applications (digital library, document image recognition, map interpretation, sensor networks, network traffic analysis, bioinformatics).

He is responsible of the research group KDDE (Knowledge Discovery and Data Engineering) http://kdde.di.uniba.it/ (1 full professor, 2 associate professors, 3 assistant professors, 1 assistant researcher, 4 PhD students), which is active in the areas of data science and big data.
