Attività di Ricerca

Maria Teresa Baldassarre, has started her research activity in the Software Engineering Research Laboratory (SERLAB) at the department of informatics in Bari on October 2001. Her research activities concern software engineering issues, with particular interest towards development and experimentation of methods, models and practices for:

  • assuring software product quality through continuous monitoring and improvement of software processes.
  • Developing software applications by reusing existing components
  • Formalize experience in order to make it transferable
  • Provide support to research activities through empirical studies.

Since 2009 Maria Teresa Baldassarre represents the University of Bari in the International Software Engineering Research Network - ISERN (http://isern.iese.de/Portal/)

Maria Teresa has supervised several master degree and PhD students. Furthermore she has co-supervised PhD students from other Universities (Brasil, Spain, Colombia) and hosted them at the Department of Informatics of Bari within collaboration projects with their Universities of origin.

She is currently reference of two PhD Co-tutele agreements between University of Bari and University of Castilla la Mancha (UCLM) (reference Prof.Mario Piattini).

She is the reference of the Memorandum of Understanding agreement signed between University of Bari and Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Recife Brazil (reference Prof. Fabio da Silva).

She has been visiting professor in the following Universities:

-       Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Recife Brasile 1-31 Marzo 2015 (collaborating with Prof.Sergio Soares)

-       University of Alberta, Edmonton Canada from January – April 2016 (collaborating with Prof.Eleni Stroulia)

From 2016-2018 she has been member of the Steering Committee of the International Software Engineering Research Network - ISERN.

From 2016 she is permanent member of the International Conference on Empirical Assessment in Software Engineering (EASE)Steering Committee
